"I once heard that a woman need only space for a lipstick and a one hundred dollar bill in any bag. This sentiment comes from a time before keys, iphones, and credit cards- but I still love the sentiment.... I love the time it inspires.
My custom clutch would take me back to that time:
a two-tone out side with a horizontal seam just above half way. The top half would be a beautifully rich red damask, reminiscent of flocked Victorian wallpapers. The bottom half, a gathered cream duponi silk whose vertical ruffles carry under the clutch. why cream? Because it's never touching a surface- this thing's staying under my arm the whole night.
And when I open it up to get my lipstick? Black black silk, like the secrets it holds inside."

We get contacted from quite a few different blogs on a regular basis asking us to participate in a review or a giveaway. We visit the blogs and select the few that suit our product. We chose this one not only because there seems to be a number of strict followers, but also because Yuri seems to be taking a lot of time and effort into creating an interesting and fun blog for her readers. She has a corner called "The outfit of the day," where she takes a photo of herself everyday so that her readers can see the combination of clothing articles that she has put together to create a certain look.

There were a ton of vendors presenting photography services, destination wedding ideas, wedding planners, venues, wedding cakes and dresses. But like I had guessed, not a lot of accessories vendors other than engagement rings and wedding bands. I definitely did not see clutches anywhere in sight. Now, I don't know whether this is a bad thing or a good thing ... maybe a wedding clutch is something of a value too small to be exhibiting in a huge wedding fair like this one. The cost to participate in the show is just too large that you will never make back the cost. Or maybe there just aren't many people out there making customizable clutches for weddings?
As I walked around, I tried to analyze what the wedding trend of 2010 was. What colours are popular, what theme... I have to keep in mind of what the wedding trend is in general to make sure that the clutches works well for the brides and fit in with the rest of the wedding decor.
These are some of the trends that I noticed as I toured around the tradeshow, making my way through all the newly engaged couples:
-black and white weddings (carried of from last year)
-using turquoise as the main colour
-Victorian designs in decor
-use damask in decor
-pure white and crystal weddings
-ruffles in dresses
If anyone has any more ideas on what the trends of 2010 may be, let me know!
We are going to have a Bridal Bash this weekend: Jan 15th-17th.
New styles will be added to the "Pretty Brides" category. Ruffles, swirls and flowers .... the horizon just broadened for all you brides out there!
