It feels like ages since I last posted on this blog ........ There's been so much going on that I haven't had any time!!
One big news that I need to mention is that we got accepted to display our stuff at Portobello West!
For those of you (most of you) that don't know what this is, it is a fashion and art market, where different vendors showcase their stuff. It is held at the Rocky Mountaineer Station, just a short walk from the Main Skytrain station. My sister and I have checked out this place a few times before, and I have seen some really neat things. The items sold here resemble those sold at craft fairs such as the Circle Craft fair that happens every year before Christmas. I think our clutches will fit right into this market.
This market is only open once a month, on the last Sunday. So far we have been accepted to the one at the end of April and the end of May. Less than a month away and SO much to do!! Not only do we have to make sure we have enough stock ready, we have to plan the entire booth layout and get all the marketing props ready such as posters and catalogs and all that jazz.
As far as the market goes, as I discussed in a couple of posts ago, we want to cater to the higher of the two markets that we have for our products. Which means we are definitely going to concentrate on the 8 inch clutches, and try to make the booth look sleek and simple yet eye-catching. No clutter, no hand-written tags, no more "Ooopsies Box"!
