Thanks to everyone for rating my bags!

Now with 50 votes or so, I can kind of get an idea of what is more popular than others. But to tell you the truth, the results were far close to each other than I had expected. I thought that for sure some bags would be so unpopular that I would have to drop them. I guess they are all going to make it through!

The effect that I hadn't expected from this 'rate the bags' was the marketing that I got out of it! This was my first step into taking this project public, and although it was a very small step, it was a step forward none the less.

Now it's time to get the materials together. About that, I'm already running into problems! Some fabrics that I chose (Leaves in Teal) are out of stock at the supplier due to its popularity! I had to make an impulse decision on the spot the other day and had to order a mass quantity and pay for it on the spot! (and it's still not guaranteed that I will have it in time to make my deadlines)

And to add to my list of growing problems, the Shiny Nickel frame that is used for the Classic Clutch line is also out of stock at the supplier! This one is from a pretty big company so I'm pretty sure this a very temporary situation, but we'll see........................

Now that all the samples are finally finished and on their the way to 'Chi Chi', the manufacturer in Vietnam, time to decide how many of which to produce....
This is where I need EVERYONE'S help! I want everyone's opinion on which bag is cool and which is ..well... not so much!

So today I went for some drinks at my work with a friend, Lauren, who has been out of town for three months. I brought one of my sample clutches with me just for fun. I had been keeping her up to date on my purse project, but this was the first time that she was actually able to take it in her hands and look at it. Not only did she not stop talking about how nice it was the whole night, everyone at my work loved it too!
I'm sure they wouldn't have said anything negative about it even if they felt so, but still, they were SHOCKED at how nice it was..... to a point where I started thinking that they must have had really low expectations of me!

This was a very 'easy' feedback test since these are people I know well. I guess I'll have to wait for 'real' feedback once the purses are out in the harsh world filled with picky and critical consumers!!
